Our inspiring journey from librarian to founder embodies our mission. Fueled by passion, she addresses the need for more bilingual narratives. Each child she encountered left a mark, motivating the creation of a platform celebrating cultural stories. Through these stories, we aim to inspire the next generation of readers and writers to embrace the power of language and imagination.
Trona "T.K." Peoples is an educator, librarian, and best-selling author of children's and adult books. A proud alum of The University of Georgia, she grew up in Crawford, GA. For the past 25 years, Jonesboro, GA, the home of Gone with the Wind, has been her home. At a young age, she always knew she would be a writer. She would get lost in fairy tales or spooky nighttime stories. She must admit that Stephen King is one of her favorite authors, but as much as she tries, she can not write like him. She often smiles about that and believes that God had a different plan for her books.
Shortly after graduating from college, she found a job in bilingual sales for a cargo company at the airport. It took only a few years for life changes to lead her to become a teacher. T.K. Peoples enjoys making children and teens of all ages smile as she shares her love of reading, writing, and learning. To reach more children, she became a school librarian. Currently, she spends her days in the school's library. Known as Peeps, The Library Lady tells today's youth that knowing how to read and learning more than one language will take them far in life! She encourages them never to stop reading.
Over the years, she has learned that faith in God, hard work, and dedication are the keys to accomplishing any goal in life. She knows that having family, friends, mentors, and people who will motivate and encourage success is essential. She thanks every child she has ever encountered and taught over the years; each left a unique mark on her heart.
